Ami Grace is a therapist and counselor specializing in women's issues, young adults, college students and teens and maintains a private practice in San Luis Obispo, California.
With over 12 years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of Cal Poly and California State University, Fresno she specializes in solution-focused therapy and life coaching to help her clients find ways to work through their emotional blocks and to find practical, effective solutions to their problems. She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of who mainly consist of Cal Poly students,women, high-school students and their families.
In addition to being a holistic therapist, Ami Grace has presented at conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Women's Empowerment, Resilience, Surviving College, and Fitness for the Mind, Body and Spirit. She has taught college level courses at Allan Hancock College and was a Cal Poly lecturer for three years, teaching Adolescent Psychology, Family Therapy Graduate courses, Child Development and Lifespan Psychology courses.
Ami Grace is an interactive, solution-focused therapist who encourages her clients to focus more on the present than the past. While it's important to identify patterns from childhood and how they affect us today, it is even more important to learn coping strategies and skills to overcome them and to feel empowered and healthy. Her therapeutic approach is holistic; she encourages healing the person in their environment as she feels clients are not compartmentalized into feelings, thoughts and behaviors.
